A Little Bit of Variety
So the gym thing is going really well so far, I am quite impressed. I am also looking healthier thanks to using my FAVORITE self tanner. L’oreal Sublime Gelee in Dark! There is such a difference when you wear your workout outfit and don’t blend in with the walls!! Today was my cardio day-yesterday I did the usual Eliptical for 30 minutes and the circuit for the last 20 minutes. I decided to try and do 15 reps on each set, but by the time I hit the last part of the circuit, I was struggling with 12!! It is pretty hard on the arms to keep pumping them when you get to the end of the line-the legs are tough too, but that is ok..I keep breathing and praying that I can do that one last pump!
I am getting the hang of going in to the gym before work and like it…even though I still feel hot and sweaty while transferring to work clothes, I don’t mind it at all. I decided to spiffy up my workout today by working on 3 different machines for cardio. I did 10 minutes on the rower, 10 on the treadmill, and 15 on the Eliptical. I was SUPER sweaty by the end of all that, and I found that when I went on the Eliptical (last), I had more energy instead of getting pooped. The treadmill for me is still a wierd machine…I find that it puts harsh impact on my legs and I get so scared I will fall off the thing and kill myself, right there, in a health club. It COULD happen. I tried running on it like Miss smarty pants today and almost ended up on my ass.
I was jogging with my arms and watching Oprah over intensely while listening to my Clay Aiken cd..before I knew it, I found myself jogging almost at the very BACK of the treadmill…woaaaaaaaaah-so I ran up to the front and got my grip again. What a terd I am-one more job and I would have been on the floor jogging on my forehead!!
The rowing machine was too wierd for me as well..I set it up to the highest weight and it still felt super easy to me. I was like, “Okkkk I don’t think I am the rowing Champion of Canada already”, so why the heck did it seem so easy with no effort? No clue-I guess that is as hard as it can get which even for me was a laugh…I can understand why it is the only one in the whole gym and not very popular.
All I know is that I got a good 35 minute workout and burned over 200 calories, which means my Kinextix bar was burned up easily! Yay!!
I am still tempted to go and take one of the workout classes because now I can add something new to my mix. I may just work on that in the coming days-so far this whole gym thing is starting to be kinda cool, but PLEASE, don’t EVER tell Michelle aka, “5:00 am is not early enough to get to the gym” that I said THIS!! SHHHHHHHH!!!
