That Sinking Feeling
It has been just over a week since I have been finished my detox-I have since had the usual foods but not overstuffing my face-I guess I don’t have an excuse to do that in preparation for a detox or anything. However, I have noticed a few things. Some of my more current clothes now fit loose…aka my jeans-yeah you would think that this is a good thing right? NO-when my jeans get big, the ass of them goes saggy and I don’t have much of one to hold it up. I tend to get VERY frustrated when this happens because I don’t like buying new jeans all the time (shocking I know! haha). My one pair of black jeans that I got maybe a week before my detox, now sag..they are loose from the butt and the crotch and they are too long which I end up walking all over with my heels.
Yeah I know..you are probably thinking, BIIIIIIIIIG DEAL…but for me it is-it is annoying to say the least! Anyways, even though the scale didn’t show much (although I did weigh in at 127 a few days back), I think I lost a good amount of retention. Yay for that!
The next problem that has been arising has been indigestion. For the past 6 days in a row, whenever I have eaten normal food (meatloaf, anything with cheese, scalloped potatoes, etc), it has sat in my stomach-imagine a blender full of pudding and throwing in a rock-the blender doesn’t crush it and instead it mashes it around. That is how it has felt to digest anything-then I have ended up with heartburn that is bitter.
This is the first time that it has happened to me post detox..actually, the detox itself was the first time I was able to follow it TO A T and not feel grossed out or underfed! So I guess the recourse of its actions have changed on me. I think the real deal is that I am having a hard time processing anything with dairy and cheese in it. Whenever I have my morning breakfast of Vanilla soy milk, all bran and a banana, I feel just fine. Although I haven’t felt the desire to munch on my trail mix in between or eat carrots. That is something I need to get back on for filler.
I think the best way to solve this is to go back to a very similar approach in diet with the way I was eating before on my detox…keep the dinners simple and light-and usually, that would keep me nice and full. Somehow, the more processed kinds of things I eat, the harder time I have processing them. Like today, I ate a sandwhich (been a LONG time since I have done that) with nothing crazy in it..some cheese, meat and garlic mayo spread (SO GOOD!)-well I was thirsty as if I hadn’t had anything to drink in 2 weeks…I had to get a Gingerale to quench my thirst (first time having that in a long time too!). Then I could feel that the bread I ate wasn’t processing-it was just being churned up without going anywhere.
Frankly it is all annoying-I can’t take the antacids every night and I don’t want to develop an affection for it either!
I guess I just gotta watch what I eat…literally-what a pain, but that is ok-why not stick with what works right?? I wonder if my taking the Colloidial Silver has anything to do with it? I have read that you need to take your daily Acidopholous (spelling?) with it because the CS may cause some affects to your stomach-can’t remember what exactly…but I have been taking that stuff for months now-when I remember to. I am pretty sure it is the way I have been eating-or more so WHAT I have been eating that hasn’t agreed with me. When it doesn’t agree with me, I better not argue it either!!
So off I go tomorrow…to being more simple with my eating and avoiding that processed stuff or heavier/creamier stuff that ends up throwing off my digestion. So much for living the BIG life! haha
