Tasty Finds
Tonight I tried a new dish from Michelinas Avantage Line. If you remember, not long ago I raved about the whole grain rice dishes that I came across. This time I tried the ROASTED RED PEPPER TORTELLINI dish which was AWESOME! I absolutely loved the tortellini even though there wasn’t much in there to begin with! However, I was impressed to find out that the Tortellini is whole wheat which is even better. 6 grams of fat and an excellent pepper sauce but not too peppery. I am glad I bought two of these dishes-I can’t wait to have the next one…maybe another day! haha
Another great dinner comes from Lean Cuisine which is the new SPA line. I tried this dish a few weeks ago and loved the flavor as well. I also really enjoyed the fact that there were ACTUAL shrimp inside of the box-none of this imitation stuff or garbage. There were tiger shrimps and about 8 of them, all mixed with the pasta and red pepper sauce. Plus the pasta is whole wheat vermicelli which means that the pasta is made of brown rice. How PERFECT is that??
It is small again, yet a great addition and a cool try, not too peppery and perfect tasting with the Shrimp. I have a few of those in my freezer already!!

You could even boil up some extra tortellini or whole wheat pasta and add it in to either of these dishes as there is sauce leftover. Especially in the Tortellini dish which has a good amount left and not as much Tortellini.
I also came across a great salad dressing, one I never thought I would like! It is Newman’s Own Low Fat Balsamic Vinagrette dressing. I tried it on my salad and love it. Almost even better than my regular Italian dressing. It has a nice zip to it without being overly tart or tangy. I totally recommend this one as well even though I have never been a fan of Newman’s dressings. Mind you, if you look at the ingredients, you will notice they are far more realistic than typical Kraft brands. There is a lot less filler and more natural ingredients!
