Got Meat?

So you’ve heard about my latest craze, the “give up red meat” phase that I may be going through. I have never been much of a meat eater before but in the past year or two I have been eating beef and pork and the usual chicken, fish and turkey. No biggie-a few years ago I decided I didn’t want to eat steak or beef anymore and just stopped. It didn’t kill me either and I went on for a long not eating it which was fine. Then I started up again and that was ok too. I am now at the point where I don’t want to eat beef anymore-I never really had a taste for it so why not stop? Same with pork which I rarely eat anyways. Plus, my real love was in chocolate which I gave up 9 months ago so giving red meat up won’t be so hard.

I went there for the first time and was simply amazed at the wonderful looking food. Dim sum, frozen food, sushi, vietnemese fresh food-even an area where you can buy bubble tea! MMMM. After getting a strawberry bubble tea (which costs more here than at Chinook), my mom and I strolled around and stopped at the fresh food stand where I was ordering a 3 item combo and trying to choose from about 16 dishes. As I was thinking and making up my mind, I turned around and saw right there….. (There is more where this came from … )

Did you know that you can make your onion rings healthy by slicing them up and coating them in crushed all bran flakes as opposed to putting them in flour? She also said that you can substitute pumpkin filling for butter in your fudge brownies too. Not that I will ever try that, but still..that is quite ok. I went to her website and found some really neat alternative recipes too. Here are some interesting facts: (There is more where this came from … )
