Bottled Water, the RIGHT Way!

You heard me talk about it…and literally a few days later-I now have two Sigg water bottles in the flesh. Actually my student’s mother who is opening up her business brought me about 5 different ones to look at in the lesson today. I just LOVED the light yellow one with stripes and was torn with the pink one that had flowers on it….I took both and asked the mom to invoice me-always a dangerous thing because these little bottles are very expensive though I don’t know HOW badly so….let’s hope I get a discount on them.

These bottles are SO cool-even the others ones that I saw were really neat as well but I went for the more colorful one. What is surprising is that they are sooooooooooo light-probably an ounce heavy if that. Each bottle has its own neat lid and are very easy to handle-plus they are spill proof and leak proof which is kinda cool. Sure, if you drop them they will probably dent, but they are coined as being unbreakable which is pretty cool. Here is the website of my student's parents new business-the website isn't well done, but you can get an idea of what the lady has to offer...although, the cool one I have isn't on there and the pink one with flowers is made specially for Breast Cancer research with $4.00 being donated to the society off every purchase, so it is a good cause.

Here is the website but you can google them up and see what you think-I found some AWESOME ones online but found out that certain ones can only come through Canada through distribution...hmmm....oh and if you are interested in getting rid of your plastic bags and going Green-this lady also sells the green bags and lunch kits which I will be looking in to.....they aren't on her site yet, but when I get mine, I will sure keep you posted!

Calgary Website

And here is a shot of my two lovely Sigg bottles-the pink one is slimmer and slightly smaller with a 3 cup capacity, and the light yellow one is larger with a 4 cup capacity.

Don’t those bottles just SCREAM Lisa??? heehee

You Saw it Here First!

A few weeks ago, a parent of one of my music students got on the subject of health with me-she is definitely in to health stuff and sees a naturopath for whatever so she understand a lot. She spotted the Evian Nomad water bottle that I carry around and looked underneath it. When she saw the little triangle engraved in to the plastic with a number in the middle, she pointed it out to me and told me what that meant. Up until then I only ever thought that a numbered triangle on a plastic container or bottle just stood for recycling. Then this lady brought me an article about what it really means. I am completely paraphrasing but those little triangles with numbers stands for the toxicity of the plastic that was used in processing. Basically, anything with a number 7 in it will be more toxic-so look at your standard Tupperware containers and you will notice a 5 in the triangle…these are also somewhat toxic with 1 and 3 being less. (There is more where this came from … )
